Y una vez más parece mentira como pasa el tiempo...
Por suerte, 2006 terminó con una etapa de desidia total y ya ha pasado un año que comenzó lleno de incertidumbres, de inestabilidad, pero también de buenos propósitos y de ganas por hacer cosas nuevas. Y por tanto termina con algunas ilusiones cumplidas:)
Espero que el 2008 nos siga ilusionando, aunque sea con nuestras "pequeñas cosas".
Ha sido muy emocionante estar en Madrid y recordar cómo ha cambiado todo después de un año, sobretodo con Claudia, compañera de batallas haciendo nuestros pinitos como managers en el mundo del “artisteo”. Compañera también de paseos por El Retiro en aquellos días de reflexión y toma de decisiones en Enero, con el parque como escenario casi desierto. Me alegro de que todo terminase para las dos y que estemos mucho mejor (en todos los sentidos) que hace un año.
De todas las felicitaciones y emilios de navidad que he recibido el que más me ha sorprendido es el de una vieja compañera del cole (de EGB, ahí es ná). Así que no puedo dejar de colgarlo en este post:
Pese a todas estas emboscadas, me baño en un cartucho de tinta china para contaros un cuento:
Érase una vez un día sin maquillaje, con páginas trufadas de latidos e incluso titulares tejidos desde el deseo… Todo de verdad, desmenuzando las sombras hasta convertirlas en labios despiertos… Y en estas horas, de este día, de esta historia no existían subsuelos ni discursos de ocasión. Los impostores se habían ido a dormir y todo olía a subasta de emociones…
Hmmm…, creo que se me acaba la tinta y aún no he puesto punto y final a este desvarío… No sé, quizá me haya equivocado de relato…, puede incluso que esto sea un relato falsificado dentro de otro relato… En cualquier caso, nada de hoteles de la meditación… Que el 2008 suceda empapado de búsquedas y encuentros…

Y yo me uno al deseo final...espero veros muy prontito:) y que el 2008 no deje de ilusionarnos para seguir encontrando...

Y hoy cumplo uno más...
Uhm...y hoy me dedico este post, en acto egocéntrico total...
aunque no me lo termino de creer, ya he pasado eso que llaman la "barrera de los 30"!
Si me tocase hacer balance de todo lo pasado, la verdad es que no retrocedería ni un segundo, porque cuesta tanto esfuerzo empezar a encontrarse y conocerse a uno mismo que todo ese esfuerzo tiene que haber servido para algo!
Espero celebrarlo con tod@s l@s que me encuentre estos días en Madrid y a la vuelta en Bruselas.

"Women: from target group to stakeholders in peace and security".
Involvement of women in peacebuilding is essential for sustainable peace. This is acknowledged by both governments and civil society organisations. In 2000 the United Nations expressed a strong commitment to recognise and improve the position of women in conflict and peace processes with the adoption of Security Council Resolution 1325 (UNSCR 1325).
Several UN Member States have integrated the resolution in their policy development and the EU has made commitments to integrate UNSCR 1325 in the European Security and Defence Policy (ESDP).
The European Security and Defence Policy (ESDP). ICCO & Kerk in Actie in cooperation with its APRODEV sister agencies EED, HEKS, Norwegian Church Aid and Church of Sweden, show a broad and global support of civil society. At regional partner consultations in Africa and Asia, partner organisations expressed their concern for women, peace and security and asked to be assisted in their plea for the implementation of UNSCR 1325. Their concern is that local knowledge and experience, while essential to successful conflict resolution and peace building practices, is neglected in international actors’ policymaking process.
The implementation of UNSCR 1325 faces many challenges and obstacles. The widespread violence against women in East Congo and the lack of female participation in the peace process of Aceh are just some of the numerous examples. It is of the utmost importance that international actors support citizen and women’s organisations in their work on civilian conflict transformation and peacebuilding efforts. Civil society needs to be included as more than an implementing partner and service provider. The implementation of UNSCR 1325 will simply not succeed without local gender knowledge included in the policymaking process.
